最初は何を言っているのかわからなかった「日立の木」。ツアーで最初に連れて行かれた有料公園。そうか、テレビCFに使われていた日立の「この木何の木、気になる木〜」という歌に出てきたものだ。大きな一本の木。5ドルの価値はあるか。１０分くらい見て次の場所へ。その後、ハワイにはどこにでもあることがわかった。だから最初に連れて行かれたのだった。
昨夜は中華で宴会。地元の人が通う店で、全員が中国系。アワビと北京ダッグがメイン。昼飯がガーリックシュリンプだったので、ロブスターはやめたが、海鮮スープに海鮮と野菜のソテーも。紹興酒と白ワインをボトルで。これで1人40ドル程度。安さに再び感動。カードでの支払いに入っていたチップの他に10ドルを ボーイに渡したら喜んで７人乗りのタクシーまで手配してくれた。
